The palm rest does not flex, but the keyboard may exhibit some flex when pressure is applied due to the lift’n’lock construction, where the frame locks the keys in place when in tablet mode. Unlike the initial test model of the X1 Yoga, our unit did not produce any creaking sounds. The two large silver metal hinges effectively hold the display in position, minimizing bouncing even under vibrations.
